what I've learned from this lesson is that parts of speech are the building blocks of English grammar and they are eight in number.
noun : points out name of place, thing and person
example : America, Alison
pronoun : replaces noun
example : it, he , she, they.
adjective : points out quality of a noun
example : honest, beautiful.
verb : points out action or state of being.
example : running, taking.
adverb : modifies a verb, adjective or another adverb.
example : happily, wherever, usually.
preposition : points out position of a noun in a sentence.
example : under, on, in.
conjunction : act as a connector between two sentences
example : and, because, but.
interjection : points out emotions
example : hurrah! ouch!.
articles : points out definiteness or indefiniteness
example : a, an, the
